CENTURION – The Forum of Community Journalists (FCJ) invites community journalists from across South Africa to attend the AVBOB FCJ National Seminar in Centurion on Friday, August 21.
The free one-day seminar will focus on the vital role of community journalism in election reporting ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The programme will feature expert guest speakers and an interactive panel discussion aimed at equipping journalists with practical skills and insights to navigate election coverage responsibly and effectively.
In addition to the educational sessions, the seminar will provide an opportunity for journalists, editors and newsroom staff to network with colleagues from across the country and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the community media sector.
The FCJ encourages newsrooms to attend as a team and take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen their election reporting ahead of the municipal polls.
